Far From Home

My name is Duc Su. I was raise in Los Angeles, Ca, USA but living in Saitama, Japan. I’ve moved here in Dec of 2008. My hobbies consist of anything that deals with electronics. Whether it be computers, electronic toys, or mobile phones, I have acquired them at some point in time. My number one passion is flying my remote control helicopters , however. I started this hobby 20 years ago. From cars to boats to airplanes and now helicopters, I love it. I am not a pro but I will be someday, maybe, perhaps, in my life time.

My other passion is computers. I have built a couple of PCs either for myself or for friends in the past and I have destroyed a few along the way. It is a part of learning I suppose. But by no means I am an expert. I learn what I can from the net and apply the skills. Take this site for instance. You are viewing it from my home web server which I builted and configured. It still amazes me how I managed this on my own. One can learn alot from the Internet.

So what is this site all about? The short answer? I will be blogging about my life in Japan hence the title. The real motive behind all this is that I am going to put this ducsu.com domain to use after purchasing it 9 years ago. Over the years, I’ve created several websites for this domain but it didn't turn out the way I expected and the site was never officially launched; it was just parked. Perhaps a blog site was the answer all along.
